The Museum of Western York County is located at 3716 Woodlawn St. in Sharon, SC and was established June 2003. The Museum has preserved documents and objects relating to the history and growth of this Piedmont County’s story. The Museum’s main exhibits include a 1930-1940 country kitchen, 1860 Yorkville bedroom, 1890’s eclectic dining room, historic documents room, a research library of over 1,200 volumes, War Room where veterans of Western York County are honored for their service, and an early 20th Century classroom.
Hours of operation are Saturdays from April to November from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. Special admission by requests.
Admission Adults $5.00, Students $3.00, 12 and under Free.
